MOUNTAIN BIKE TOUR: YELAPA
This time, we will drive one hour south to the historical village of El Tuito nestled amongst both pines and palm trees at 3,300 feet above sea level. We will start the bike ride on a beautiful, lonely paved road for 20 Km of long ups and downs towards the small town of Chacala where we will have the opportunity to snack and refill water. After a quick rest in Chacala, we will continue on dirt road for a few more nice climbs until we come to the most spectacular view point in the whole Bay of Banderas.
The view down to our destination is always breathtaking! And the best part is, after the view, it's all downhill. 10 Km of rutty and rocky downhill adventure await you. In Yelapa, we have the opportunity to eat lunch, have a cold beverage, and take in the serenity of this peaceful fishing village. The fun continues as we load ourselves and the bikes onto a panga boat and head back to Vallarta. At the end of this epic adventure, you will have some amazing new memories!

COMMENTS FROM OUR CLIENTS:
“From El Tuito to Yelapa - the best mountain biking i've done in a long time.”
After exchanging a few emails, i secured a guided ride from El Tuito to Yelapa, complete with an beautiful (and virtually brand new) 650b Giant Trances, which was dialed-in perfectly for my weight and height. Rogelio, as a guide, is patient, soft-spoken, interesting, interested, and contemplative. The landscape throughout this ride varied wildly; from long flat dirt roads, to steep cobble-stone/paved paths, ending through slippery muddied single-track jungles. The crescendo of the ride, of course, included cresting a 2,560 ft summit of the mountains above Yelapa. Once here, we snapped photos, rested, re-hydrated, discussed the meaning of life (in so many words) - then descended (rapidly) down the mountain, through the bustling community of Yelapa, ending at the shoreline along Yelapa's beautiful beach. I cannot understate how awesome this ride was. I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic ride to Yelapa. Brittany and Rogelio went out of their way to set this ride up. The ride and guide (Golo) were great. A very unique ride, no single track, but a bit of everything else a couple of the climbs are a handful and the downhill finish is challenging. A definite repeat.
